﷯Technology for Optimization of Oil Production (TOP) The Technology for Optimization of Production (TOP) relies on the idea that reducing down hole pressure below a certain value brings on significant negative phenomena such as gas and water cones, that outweigh the benefits of reducing the pressure and can actually lead to reduced recovery. We calculate precisely this optimal pressure and introduce a down hole device to keep the actual down hole pressure at the optimal level. Please note that unlike the Vogel model our model calculates the optimal down hole pressure at every moment of production eliminating guesswork and prolonging the useful life of the well. This technology is patented and the devices we produced are currently used by a number of our clients with excellent results, such as. Increase of current oil production Increase of the ultimate recovery factor Reduction of gas (GOR) and water (WOR) content Prolongation of the useful life of the well Acoustic Method of Early Detection of Gas Kicks ﷯The acoustic method of early detection of gas kicks works by installing an acoustic device similar to a hydrodynamic sonar and a pressure sensor at the wellhead and by monitoring the signal measured by the pressure sensor. When present, size, location and velocity of the gas kick can be determined from the shape of the received signal, allowing to estimate the time of arrival of the gas kick to the well head. It can help to reduce the risk of explosion of the well and to remove gas kicks with great accuracy. Since you know the location and estimated time of arrival of the gas kick to the surface, this leaves enough time for evacuation or for introduction of counter measures. We have a US patent for this method, already performed preliminary tests and are working on producing a device. New Method of Killing Gas Kicks on Offshore Wells﷯ Our method of killing an uncontrolled oil-gas fountain after an explosion on an offshore oil platform is implemented by re-attaching to the wellhead and inserting rods or pipes of sufficient density and correct form into the wellhead and thus gradually reducing the flow of oil-gas fountain until it can be terminated by pumping cement down the well. This should take a much shorter time and be much less expensive than drilling a relief well, which is the current practice. Additionally this would prevent damage to the environment caused by hydrocarbons escaping into the sea while the relief well is being built. The rods are readily available from manufacturers of drilling and production equipment. This method is also patented. ﷯Method of Restoring Control and Resuming Production at an Offshore Oil Well After an Explosion The method of restoring control and resuming production at an offshore well after an explosion works by inserting rods or pipes of sufficient density and correct form into the wellhead and thus gradually reducing the flow of the oil-gas fountain. Parts of the assembly used for killing are later removed thus allowing continued operation of the well. This method is patented with US PTO.
